Johnson Roofing has a full-time, dedicated Safety Manager. The company has consistently improved safety ratings as a Roofing Contractor for four straight years. Johnson Roofing takes pride in having 25 NRCA Certified torch applicators and 23 trained first aid and CPR providers. We also have over 50 certified equipment operators, trained on our aerial manlifts, rough terrain forklifts, and truck-mounted cranes.
On November 2, 2009, Johnson Roofing was presented a safety award from Texas Mutual Company for the second consecutive year. We were selected from a pool of 48,000 companies to win one of 164 awards. You can read more at Texas Mutual News. The award was granted to Johnson Roofing due to its constant focus on improving safety and its safety record over the years.
On the same day, Johnson Roofing was recognized by the Associated General Contractors of America for our outstanding safety record and no lost time accidents. They presented us with the AGC's 2009 Certificate of Recognition for Excellence in Safety Programs.
Additionally, the Johnson Roofing employee team has undergone NRCA's Roofing 101 Module 2: Roof System Basics. In this course we reaffirmed basic roofing safety procedures, among other things. These measures include wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as using proper fall-protection systems. We always make it a priority to warn building owners, occupants, and passers-by of the hazards involving construction and value their safety as high as the safety of our crew. Johnson Roofing has worked in very congested areas, such as universities and shopping centers and makes every effort to rope off the areas we are in and look out for the welfare of everyone nearby.
