We have many exciting jobs ahead of us. In fact, every roof we work on is important. Like we’ve said before, from your grandmother’s dog house to the tallest of skyscrapers, we do it all! Currently, we are in the midst of putting a new roof on almost every building at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The reroofing project will cover the vast area of 8,000 squares of shingles and 2,500 squares of low-slope roof.
To streamline the process, Johnson Roofing has stepped in as a liaison between UMHB and their insurance provider, handling all communication between them and adjusting the amount of the claim to match the amount of work necessary. Some buildings have a lightning protection system in place, which are up to fifty years old. These, too, will need to be updated, a unique part of the job according to Project Manager Jim Williams. Johnson Roofing enjoys the professional relationship we have established with UMHB and looks forward to standing back and looking proudly at the completed project in Spring 2010.
“The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is extremely pleased to have the opportunity to partner with Johnson Roofing for the massive re-roofing job we require on campus. We had 30 buildings damaged by the hail storm of April 2008, and Johnson Roofing was chosen not only for their competitive bid, but primarily for their expertise, experience, and owner advocacy in working with insurance companies. Johnson Roofing has taken additional measures to ensure the safety of our students and employees by roping off areas around buildings before the work begins. Thanks, Johnson Roofing, for partnering with us, for going the extra mile for safety, and for doing such a fine job.”
